Chemical peels can be used to ‘refresh’ tired or dull skin to give a healthy glow as a one-off treatment or to help with acne/acne scarring/ pigmentation (melasma/sun damage) /reduce fine lines & wrinkles by a course of treatments. Chemical Peels come in various different strengths and preparations, which will be discussed at your Initial consultation. A Chemical peel reacts with the very top layer of the skin, and speeds up the process of it coming away, revealing a healthier, plumper, smoother and blemish free complexion underneath.

The procedure lasts about 20 minutes. The skin is carefully prepared and cleaned.  A Chemical peel solution is then applied to the skin and left on for a set time. The solution is then neutralised and cleansed from the skin.

During a Peel treatment there can be some mild tingling/a heat sensation which is normal and settles once the solution is neutralised. The skin can appear slightly red straight after a peel, but as new healthier skin cells replace the old ones, the skin will appear more radiant and youthful. The skin can also appear dry and shed over the next 7 days as the skin cells renew and newer skin surfaces. We advise using a high SPF (50) sunscreen after the procedure as the skin can be very sensitive to the sun during this period. This can be purchased from us after treatment.

We would advise leaving 2 weeks between other cosmetic treatments (Wrinkle Reduction/ Dermal Fillers). We would also advise a period of 6-8 weeks between repeat Peel treatments.

Anti wrinkle injections have been widely used for years to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and also to help reduce excessive sweating. There are many different brands of Anti wrinkle injections such as Botox, Azzalure, Dysport, Vistabel, Xeomin & Bocouture. They all have the same active ingredient of Botulinum Toxin A, which temporary relaxes muscles when it is injected into them. With facial muscles this helps to reduce the appearance of facial lines.

Anti wrinkle injections may not be suitable for everyone. During your Initial Consultation you will be assessed by a fully qualified doctor, who will take a medical history including any regular medications you may be on. Some medications can interact with Anti wrinkle injections, and if this is the case we will be able to advise you accordingly. Female clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding cannot have treatment.

This can vary according to how many areas are treated, and we allow for this flexibility when booking appointments. As a guide, we would advise you to allow 30 minutes for your Treatment Consultation

We carefully assess the face and the treatment areas marked out. A numbing cream is applied to the treatment areas and a very small fine needle is used to carefully inject small amounts of the Anti wrinkle injection solution. At Skin Transform we strive to keep a natural looking appearance for our clients, by softening facial lines, and allowing for a natural degree of movement of the facial muscles. We aim not to over-inject the face, and firmly avoid causing a ‘frozen’ or ‘expressionless’ look

We aim to ensure maximal comfort during treatment. We use a numbing cream prior to the injections to reduce any discomfort. Post treatment we apply arnica cream and a cooling pack to help soothe the skin.

The process is quick, safe and relatively pain-free. As a result downtime is minimal. You may have some redness at the injection sites, which should settle down in 1-2 days. Some patients may experience a mild headache, for which we would advise simple over the counter pain relief. On occasion some patients may experience some bruising which settles after 3-4 days. We will talk you through this and provide you with a detailed Post Treatment Advice leaflet .

Anti wrinkle injections can take 4-10 days to take effect. We recommend you book in for a Follow up consultation 10-14 days after the procedure. At this stage we can assess if any ‘top up’ treatment is required

Anti wrinkle injections have a temporary effect, and as it slowly wears off muscle movement can return to normal. The timing of this varies according to which muscle has been injected and we will be able to advise you on this according to your individual treatment plan. Most clients require repeat treatments every 3-5 months. However we understand that each of our clients is unique, if you feel you need a repeat treatment sooner than this, we would advise you to book a consultation.

Most Dermal Fillers are hyaluronic acid. This substance occurs naturally and gives the skin plumpness, firmness and volume. As we grow older our natural levels of hyaluronic acid deplete and this can lead to a more prominent appearance of facial lines. Dermal fillers can be used to restore the skin’s lost volume, reduce the appearance of facial lines and also to enhance certain areas such as lips and cheeks. There are various different types of Dermal Fillers, which are for use on different areas of the face.

The doctor may massage the area after injecting to ensure the filler is spread evenly into the skin. Dermal Filler injections give immediate noticeable results. There may be some swelling initially, which should settle down over a week or so, and should not affect the final result. We recommend you book in for a Follow up consultation 10-14 days after the procedure. At this stage we can assess if any ‘top up’ treatment is required

Dermal Fillers have a temporary effect, and is slowly reabsorbed by the body. The timing of reabsorption is different for different preparations of Dermal Filler. We will be able to advise on this according to your individual treatment plan. Most clients require repeat treatments every 6-8 months, however we understand that each of our clients is unique, if you feel you need a repeat treatment sooner than this, we would advise you to book a consultation.

Microneedling, Mesotherapy & LED Light Mask Therapy all help improve the texture and appearance of the skin. Each one can treat a range of different skin conditions. You will be seen at an Initial Consultation, where your medical history will be discussed and a treatment plan put in place depending on your skin's requirements. Each treatment duration varies according to the condition being treated, and sometimes a treatment plan combining more than one therapy may be discussed with you. The aim is to create a personally tailored plan that will help your skin get the most out of the treatments

Semi-permanent Makeup/ LVL Lash Lifts & Microblading treatments are carried out by an Independent Specialist at Skin Transform. You will be seen at an Initial Consultation, where your medical history and suitability for the procedure is discussed. A ‘Patch test’ may also be discussed before you are booked in for your treatment.

Microdermabrasion is a popular treatment which can help with exfoliating dead layers of skin using a handheld device which uses a stream of crystals. This stimulates collagen and helps firm and lift the skin. It is a great treatment for reducing the appearance of fine lines, helping improve the texture of the skin, helping to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores and also removing blackheads. You will be assessed at your Initial consultation to discuss your suitability for the procedure and areas that require treatment.

Environ Skincare- If you have previously been/ are currently using Environ, please bring the products (or empty bottles) with you to your Initial Consultation. Every client is unique and you will therefore be recommended a unique treatment plan based on your skin after an assessment at your consultation. Environ products can only be purchased after a full assessment by our Doctor.
